Birthday cakes for Veterans

TOPVETS deliveded the second batch ifBirthday Cake Kits were to the Food Pantry at Veteran’s Helping Veterans today! Vicki Welsh, with the assistance of Cheryl Boyd and Lisa Bradley we shopped for, and assembled, 24 birthday cake kits.

Sharon Walker at the Food Pantry said the kits were well received and had this to say: “We get ‘old’ cake donations from Publix, but we didn’t have any and one veteran commented that he would have liked a cake for his upcoming birthday. I said ‘I have something better.’ “ Sharon showed him the cake kit and he was thrilled to have one. Thank you for supporting this “little something special” initiative for our veterans.
