About Our Park

Dedicated on Veterans Day 2022, the park is a tribute to those who perished, honoring those who served, and extending gratitude to those serving in the armed forces of the United States and our Allies. The park provides an environment for reflection, education, and community cohesiveness through events, celebrations, and appropriate military ceremonies.

Many residents of our beautiful community are Veterans who, for many decades, served unselfishly in the various US military services. Our neighborhood club formed the Ocala Preserve Veteran Corporation to create this park to thank and recognize their commitment to our nation. 

It provides tribute 365 days a year to our Veterans and is a respectful location in our community for the celebration of Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, and other solemn events.

Veterans Park has become a peaceful environment. Four marble benches invites visitors to relax and reflect. White crepe myrtle trees, blue plumbago bushes, and a center bed of red flowers welcomes its visitors.

The park's distinctive features are the unique arrangement of white pylons topped with bronze military medallions, and an arched walkway of engraved pavers. This impressive element is known as the “Walk Of Honor” 

The Ocala Preserve Veterans Corporations is an IRS recognized 501 (c)(3) organization.
